Viola is a pseudonym. Initially, it was one of the names my Mother almost named me; so later I just took it up for my aliases. Viola also has to do with the violin (an instrument I would love to play). It’s also related to the color violet (purple), which is my favorite as is related to royalty and the finer things in life.Iris is one of my favorite flowers; it has a purple variation, which signifies wisdom and inspiration. It’s such a simple and delicate flower; much like myself (or so I would love to believe).
The name Iris has its origin from the Greeks meaning rainbow. Iris was a messenger of the gods who rode on rainbows between heaven & earth. I’m not a staunch believer in the Greek mythologies but I like that she was a messenger, much like my blog is a message base for what’s in my soul.
When I think of the word Iris I remember lying in the long cool grass that grew behind my grandmother’s house. Lost in there all by myself looking up at the blue sky and making out shapes in the clouds.
Iris also is a part of the eye that determines the amount of light to enter the eye.
So Viola’s Iris could be:
• My insight into my world; through my eyes
• My message
• My inspiration & wisdom.
Enjoy
Love your blog…..

It’s the short sentences in life that make me wonder what to say next… Hence maybe the words “Thank you” will suffice.
