I have a week and some days left before my last day at Ogilvy. Slowly it’s start to sink in that I will no longer be in this vibrant, dynamic highly stressful but fun environment. I feel like a school child who has been transferred to a new school. Only this time I am not a child, I’m not moving schools and I chose to do this on my own free will as opposed to some higher power forcing my hand.

This week sadly there have been a number of deaths one of which is an elderly lady in my family who passed on last night. I don’t have the details but I do pray that her soul may rest in peace. I got the news yesterday and today I just woke up feeling low.

My dear friend is currently at a critical crossroads in her life. I know she’ll make it through despite the horizon looking as gloomy as today’s evening sky. Be strong my dear and you’ll make it.

Speaking of the weather it’s so fascinating that last year like now we were under sweaters & jackets, scarves and gloves. Yet this year we are in the best of our summer wear, save for today when it’s decided to pour (but not as much as last Friday).

I hope the Slam Africa poetry gig going down today at 8pm in Dass will lift spirits up. It’s the first ever in Nbi and I’m sure it’s gonna be really really hot listening to poets lying it down for real on the stage. I need to get there before all the good seats are taken.

Otherwise not too much to do this weekend other than a little of work, a bit of partying and lots of rest!

Enjoy yours.
